Yhteenveto:The present research work is focused on enhancing the development of skills with performance criteria. Its purpose is to strengthen the cognitive qualities of students in order to successfully perform a task or activity. In this way, an experimental research was implemented, as a strategy that allows to connect theory and practice. Initially, observation records and surveys were applied to the teacher and students, which evidenced the absence of experimental activities and helped to obtained valid data in order to establish the real problem. A proposal was elaborated as a possible solution to this problematic. The participating sample was 31 students and 1 teacher. The results of this research work were successful because practical work allow students to acquire the required knowledge. During the biology classes, working with experiments is necessary since it helps students to deepen in the knowledge and put into practice the theory learned. During this process, students developed skills with performance criteria. Consequently, to promote the development of skills with performance criteria, an experimental work guide based on the bibliographic review of the topics addressed in this subject was elaborated. The activities proposed in the experimental work guide significantly improved the results regarding the development of skills with performance criteria; Therefore, students show greater interest and motivation in developing activities in each of the classes, which contributes to an improvement in their performance and their scores.
