Summary:The main objective of the present work was to determine the noise pollution generated by the automotive fleet in the regenerated south zone of the city of Loja, through the use of an Integral Sound Meter with Portable Precision Analyzer OHM 2010, the streets with the highest incidence of Noise, later the maps were elaborated with the application of Geographic Information Systems, where it was possible to identify that the sound pressure in the streets of the regenerated south zone of the city of Loja, has in the three schedules (07H00 to 09H00 ; 11H00 to 13H00 and 17H00 to 19H00) values that vary between 52.14 to 72.9 dBA, Eduardo Kingman Avenue recorded high values from 68.58 to 72.9 dBA; Regarding the comparison of sound pressure levels of 2014 with the year 2018, it was found that vehicular noise remains stable at peak hours, however, Eduardo Kingman and University Avenues denote a marked level of noise because These roads circulate heavy cargo transport (buses, trucks), and indiscriminate use of the horn, in addition to abundant flow of light vehicles and motorcycles, therefore, it is concluded that there is noise pollution in the streets of the regenerated southern area of the city de Loja by exceeding the permissible limit established 65 dBA in the current ecuadorian legislation. Keywords: noise pollution, noise maps, sound pressure and Ecuadorian legislation.
