| Summary: | The present research paper entitled, MIXED ANXIETY-DEPRESSIVE DISORDER AND PSYCHOSOMATIC DISEASES, IN PATIENTS ATTENDING THE MENTAL HEALTH UNIT OF THE ISIDRO AYORA GENERAL HOSPITAL, PERIOD APRIL 2020 - MARCH 2021. PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC SUPPORT PROPOSAL, has as its general objective, carry out an analytical and purposeful study, regarding the influence of mixed anxiety-depressive disorder on the presence of psychosomatic diseases in patients attending the mental health unit of the General Hospital Isidro Ayora in the period April 2020 - March 2021. It is a mixed approach study (qualitative and quantitative), descriptive in nature, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design; the methods used were inductive, scientific, analytical and descriptive; the techniques: interview, survey and documented review; and the instruments: structured, semi-structured and unstructured interview, questionnaire and logical-theoretical consistency matrix. A total of 18 patients with mixed anxiety-depressive disorder participated in the research. It is concluded that patients with mixed anxiety depressive disorder, present this disorder due to multifactorial causes, mainly to the combination of psychological and environmental factors. In addition, in them, there is more than one psychosomatic disease at a time, derived from the disorder, and the most frequent are: sleeping difficulties, exhaustion or tiredness, diseases that can occur in the stomach, skin, muscles and joints, and headaches. A proposal for psychotherapeutic support was designed, based on relaxation and breathing techniques, which play a very important role in the field of mental health. |
