El grupo musical Mawkas y su aporte al desarrollo cultural de la parroquia Saraguro, canton Saraguro, provincia de Loja

The purpose of this work was to inform the citizenship the contribution that the ensembles of the Saraguro people have made in order to preserve our cultural identity. The general objective was to contribute to the Cultural development of the Saraguro parish, through a musical archive - cultural reference to the musical group Mawkas. The research universe were the 13 communities of the Saraguro parish and the population consisted of sixty people between authorities and local musicians were selected. To carry out this work as scientific methods, synthetic analytical and descriptive statistical method was used. Research techniques were also used such as observation, survey and interview were used at the time of data collection. As results were obtained, for example, question six, the survey of presidents of councils, school principals and local musicians, that 92% of respondents selected the yes, transcription score of the most representative songs of the group "Mawkas", for purposes of this music convey to future generations. Data like this, were the basis for the realization of the proposal, which systematization was called Musical work of the group "Mawkas" the Saraguro Parish, state Saraguro, Loja Province, same that was socialized in the Saraguro Centre before local authorities. Thus can be concluded that the lack of the musicological works focused on preserving the Musical Heritage Saragurense are scarce, so it proceeded to recommended to the local authorities that incentive the creation and execution of works relating to the rescue of Saraguro Music.
