Estudio para el equipamiento y uso del laboratorio de telecomunicaciones del Área de la Energía, las Industrias y los Recursos Naturales no Renovables de la Universidad Nacional de Loja.

This research is focused on analyzing the range of existing equipment for the education of engineering in telecommunications, which comply with the specifications according to the curriculum of the career in order to have one of the best laboratories in the South Region of the country. In the present research, it was conducted technical visits to two universities, which are the “Superior Politécnica del Litoral “school (ESPOL) and “Politécnica Salesiana “(UPS). Thhese universities were selected because they offer in their curriculum the careers of engineering in electronics and telecommunications , these institutions of higher education have a great reputation, and thus they are equipped with laboratories and specific equipment for the teaching of the different subjects realted with the career. . In the technical visit it was seen which are instruments that both universities have in common and in that way it was obtained a clear idea of the equipment that could be purchased for the laboratory of telecommunications. Once established the instruments that would be part of the laboratory, it was made an analysis of the different trademarks which main activity is the manufacture of these instruments from which “the National Instruments “ company is the one that offers the best price and warranty . For the possible purchased equipment practice guides were made in order to test them, they are related to each subject according to the curriculum of the career. “The National Instruments Company “collaborated with an invoice of the equipment proposed for the expansion of the laboratory of telecommunications, in this invoice all the necessary details of the equipment are detailed to meet the needs of the laboratory. It was seen the necessity to acquire these modular equipment of the “National Instruments” brand because they are compacted and multifunctional; saving considerable space on the table work so that the student can perform the various practices successfully. In the current telecommunications laboratory there are computers that have been purchased years ago, based on this equipment structured guides has been made for the practice of the different subjects that are taught from sixth to tenth module, these guides have been made based on the syllabi of each subject .
