Summary:The present Curricular Integration Work entitled "The lack of necessary equipment for prison guides to strengthen security in the centers of imprisonment", has its develop in bases that, at present the servers who are in charge of prison security work in the Rehabilitation Centers of the country, do not have the necessary security implements that allow the correct exercise of their functions; As well as, there is evidence of non-compliance with their right to be continuously trained throughout their work performance, a situation that can be evidenced by the constant violent events that have occurred in prisons. In the development of this research, it became evident that both the provision of security equipment and continuous training for prison security agents is a right for them, and that in spite of this, the State does not guarantee its fulfillment. This failure to comply with this right is part of the penitentiary crisis that our country has been going through for several years now, and which continues until our days. In this Curricular Integration Work, methods such as: inductive, deductive, analytical, synthetic, exegetical, statistical and comparative were applied. Also, instruments such as: the survey and the interview. The results of applying such methods and instruments allowed us to propose a legal reform to the General Regulations of the Penitentiary Security and Surveillance Corps, in order to incorporate within the numbers that appear in Art. 39, which deals with the rights of the employees of the Penitentiary Security and Surveillance Corps, one that contemplates the right of prison employees to benefit from a life insurance, considering the level of risk and danger of their work activity, by not giving full compliance with their right to be provided with the necessary implements for the development of their functions.
