Zusammenfassung:The purpose of the research is to formulate the information systems support process and threads in results-based management of the Information Technology Department of the Universidad Nacional de Loja, which consisted of defining and developing effective processes to provide better services to internal users. In the present work, the process survey methodology of the National University of Loja was used with the objective of: providing the university with a clear, uniform and standard guide for the process survey in accordance with the corresponding legal regulations. The approach was qualitative based on action research which sought to solve specific problems through a proposal for improvements using the same analytical-synthetic method that identifies the process of information systems to be improved, also, this research was cross-sectional. The results of the work were the elaboration of the situational diagnosis of the process which identified the positive aspects such as opportune communication channels and an adequate organizational climate, in terms of the negative aspects the lack of schematization, diagramming and accumulation of requirements with dates close to the limit. of delivery, it is so, the proposal of improvements was made based on the diagramming and the collection of information of the process and sub-processes determining the roles of the key actors, the activities, the verifiable inputs and outputs, contributing to an orderly process management and consistent. Once the proposal was socialized to the officials, the use of the process manual was promoted with the aim of improving the management and organization of the Information Technology Department of the Universidad Nacional de Loja.
