Özet:Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurobiological condition that affects social and communicative development and presents specific challenges in dental care management due to differences in sensory integration. Patients with ASD frequently demonstrate increased or decreased sensitivity to external stimuli, including sounds, lights, and textures. This emphasizes the importance of incorporating adaptive strategies within the dental clinical environment to promote patient comfort and engagement throughout treatment. A descriptive qualitative approach is used in this study, based on a comprehensive review of the most recent scientific literature from databases such as PubMed, Scielo, Medline and Google Scholar. The main aim is to organize the scientific evidence on sensory integration in the context of ASD and the implications of this for the practice of dental care. Furthermore, specific objectives were defined, including the analysis of sensory integration in children with ASD and the development of desensitization strategies based on sensory integration principles to improve dental care for these patients. The research suggests that intervention plans need to be individualized and focused on the specific support needs of each child in order to optimize dental care. The findings emphasize the importance of a multidisciplinary and adaptive approach. It is concluded that the incorporation of sensory integration into dental care, together with caregiver support and interdisciplinary collaboration, is essential to promote a positive and effective dental experience for children with ASD
