MAY "DEL BARRIO VEGA ALTA, ZAPOTILLO CANTON, PERIOD 2012 - 2013, whose problem is How to improve literacy among students in 2nd through 7th year of Basic General Education School" May 1 "in Language and Area Literature ?, overall objective to design a methodological strategy to improve literacy in students, set specific objectives regarding the theoretical and methodological underpinning literacy, characterize the current state of literacy, select the most appropriate methods and procedures to improve literacy, Develop a methodological strategy to improve literacy, assess the effectiveness of the strategy proposed methodology, literature review refers to the methodological and literacy strategies, methods used; deductive, inductive, scientific, dialectical, didactic, the technique used was the observation is allowed to diagnose and assess the results of the proposal, the hypothesis is tested if appropriate methodological strategy applies improve the process of literacy.
