Shrnutí:This present work describes the fundamental working principles of hydraulically driven pumps called “Aries”, giving information about optimal installation parameters as well as a formulation of the equations of the theoretical principle of pulsating-valve pumps. In order to diminish the hydraulic resistance a new hydraulically driven valve was designed which increases the flow as well as the intensity of the hydraulic shock thus prolonging the time of pumping. The calculation methodology is elaborated for the design of facilities utilizing multiple valves. Being based on the experience of authors of many nationalities this work focuses on details such as the operation-cycle of a valve while giving very precise recommendations for the dimension of the machine and its installation in general.
