الملخص: | The "Montesdeoca" mine belonging to the Corporación Minera Miranda Minermir S.A., Mimopi COD mining concession areas. 264 and Miranda COD. 481. It is a small mining company that carries out exploration and exploitation activities, it is located in the province of El Oro, Zaruma canton, Zaruma parish, it is located 4 km along the road to Roma / Sinsao / Ortega / Salvias, forming part of the gold district The same polymetallic Zaruma Portovelo that has been developed since colonial times. The mining areas consist of 18 and 18.6 hectares. The mine is located at coordinates (655165; 9593180) at an elevation of 1,266 meters above sea level. This research topic is based on the Geological-Geotechnical study of the main transport gallery, with the primary objective of proposing possible fortification or support measures, to give stability to sectors that require it within the mine. The present investigation includes lithological analyzes (mapping of geological units), structural and mineralogical analyzes that allow determining their paragenesis and textures. The mineralization is distinguished by occurring in vein structures associated with low sulphidation epithermal deposits, where the mineralization is hosted in porphyritic andesite, aphanitic andesite and basaltic andesite rocks belonging to the Portovelo member. Mainly propylitic alteration is identified, with oxidation of iron ores and hematite affecting the box rock and veins found in the study area. The veins found in the main transport gallery have a longitudinal N-S course, present a mineralogy rich in carbonates, malachite (Mq), rich in primary sulfides, pyrite (Py), chalcopyrite (Ccp), galena (Gn), and of secondary sulfides; calcosina (Cc), covelita (Cv) same that have been formed by the alteration of the primary sulfides. The mineralization presents quartz textures with massive sulfide, milky massive quartz, textures in crustiform-coloform bands. According to the "Regulation of Safety and Health at Work in the mining field"; with the objective of safeguarding the safety of personnel in all phases of mining activity; emphasizing Art. 41 and 134 that are focused on the geomechanical study and the mining plan, which allows the safety of workers and machinery, as well as the stability of the excavations, in addition to galleries that are not fortified, it will be necessary to carry out stabilization processes to correct the anomalies. Once the surface and underground topography was obtained, the geology was detailed with the Streckeisen diagram (QAPF) and in turn the characterization of the rock mass in a total of 14 geomechanical sections within the main transport gallery through the geomechanical classifications: Bieniawski RMR ,Q de Barton and GSI, we proceeded to collect all the information to give a rating to the rock masses and propose support measures where they are required within the main transport gallery of the "Montesdeoca" mine. Keywords: Mining, Topography, Geotechnical characterization, crustiform-colloform textures. |
