Crynodeb:The objective was to evaluate the effect of biol organic fertilizer on the biomass yield and nutritional value of the natural meadows of Cristina’s farm, Jimbilla parish, Loja province; where the nutritional composition of forage and soil, forage growth and forage biomass were evaluated. The statistical design that was used, was a random block design, an area of 1.07 ha was chosen, which was divided into three equal blocks, each block had 2 divisions, one of control and one of treatment performing it in 2 phases: one of field and one of laboratory. The biol fertilizer was applied in the treatment areas with a ratio of 3 l of fertilizer and 17 l of water in a 20 l pump, the meadow was left to rest for 45 days and grasses such as Penisetum clandestinum (kikuyo), Cynodon dactylon (grama) and Holcus lanatus (holco) were obtained; legumes such as Tithonia diversifolia (golden button) and arvense plants such as Rumex obtusifolius (cow's tongue) and Tridax procumbens (bull grass). For the laboratory phase in the analysis of the chemical composition of soil, lower values in copper (Cu) were obtained. In the bromatological analysis of the forages, the values of EEN (non-nitrogenous elements) were elevated. Positivity was achieved in plant height of grasses, legumes and arvense plants; number of leaves in grasses and arvense plants; forage biomass raising it from 2.9 kg to 6.63 kg. Concluding that the biol organic fertilizer has effect on the soil as in forages, giving good results in forage biomass which is suitable for livestock farming.
