Crynodeb:In the study program of the wood winds area specialty clarinet from the middle level of the College of Arts “Salvador Bustamante Celi” from Loja, it has been observed that clarinet students do not have didactic works with sounds of our Ecuadorian musical staff and so their academic training is done based on European, American and Latin American repertoire without detracting from its importance. For this reason, the following research proposes contribute with a Methodological guide for the clarinet teaching in the middle basic level of the College of Arts “Salvador Bustamante Celi”, through the use of Ecuadorian music. In order to obtain the required information, it was necessary the use of interviews and surveys, which were applied to two directives and sixty elderly people from the ambulatory program. To process the information, it was indispensable to use the deductive, analytic, synthetic, scientific and statistic methods and for the development of the proposal it was needed the descriptive method which helped to verify how the teaching- learning process works in the students; moreover, it helped also to identify the knowledge level of students about the Ecuadorian. The results obtained and the theoretical study allowed to give the right guidelines for the development of the research proposal: Methodological Guide for the Teaching of the clarinet in the middle basic level, it is composed of twenty-four adaptations of traditional Ecuadorian melodies with progressive difficulties, which also include piano accompaniment and their respective application in a specific piece of music and corresponding genre, for the systematic development of skills and abilities. In this way, it has been concluded that teachers do not have the necessary material for Ecuadorian music repertory, so the students' learning process is directly affected. Systematizing the information collected, it is recommended that the authorities, teachers and students give the needed importance to traditional Ecuadorian music, from the position that each one occupies in order to fortify the cultural values of our country. Therefore, the different teaching processes that were carried out in the teaching and learning of the clarinet, on methods, techniques and repertoire of clarinet schools worldwide and Latin American, have been achieved psycho-pedagogically, contributing to the clarinet's interpretive processes.
