Summary:The research entitled: LEARNING EXPERIENCES IN THE COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN FROM 2 TO 3 YEARS OLD FROM THE PARADISE OF JIPIRO CHILDREN'S DEVELOPMENT CENTER, LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LOJA, PERIOD 2019-2020. Its general objective was to analyze the importance of the experiences of learning in the cognitive development of children from 2 to 3 years old. The research was non-experimental based on a mixed approach. The methods used were: descriptive, analytical-synthetic, deductive and inductive. Among the techniques and instruments used were: observation, the survey applied to teachers to determine their knowledge of learning experiences, and the Bayley Scale of Child Development, which assessed the cognitive and psychomotor development index. This study stems from a research project of the Initial Education Career, where 11 Child Development Centers that are under the coordination of the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion were considered, to evaluate 353 children between the age of 2 to 3 years and 38 teachers, drawing a sample of 10 children and 4 teachers. The results obtained reflected that 100% of children obtained an inadequate level of cognitive development; while 50% in the psychomotor area reached an inadequate level, in relation to their chronological age, for which, an activity guide composed of creative and innovative learning experiences was designed, which was delivered to the child development center for its subsequent application. Concluding that the teachers, by not knowing the methodological guidelines of a learning experience, use an inappropriate methodology for the teaching-learning process, which would be affecting the cognitive development of children.
