In addition, the information from 48 literary sources where the application of intelligent systems to teach the mentioned subject was evaluated. The results showed that the most used AI in education is intelligent tutors; they also revealed that the main aspect to consider for the implementation of these systems is technical and technological resources and that the insertion of AI in education does not follow a single methodological process, but it is coupled to different phases of these. Finally, it was concluded that intelligent systems improve learning efficiency by providing options to automate and personalize teaching. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el uso de inteligencia artificial en la enseñanza de Matemática en el nivel de educación secundaria. Para llevar a cabo el trabajo se realizó un estudio documental sistemático de alcance exploratorio-descriptivo, sobre el que se fundamentaron teóricamente los objetos de investigación, además, se examinó la información de 48 textos donde se evaluó la aplicación de sistemas inteligentes para enseñar la asignatura mencionada. Los resultados mostraron que las IA más empleadas en educación son los tutores inteligentes, también revelaron que el principal aspecto a considerar para implementar estos sistemas son los recursos técnicos y tecnológicos, y que la inserción de la IA en la educación no sigue un proceso metodológico único, sin embargo, se acopla a distintas fases de estos. Finalmente se concluyó que los sistemas inteligentes mejoran la eficiencia del aprendizaje brindado opciones para automatizar y personalizar la enseñanza.
