Zusammenfassung:In Ecuador there is an increased of prevalence of childhood obesity and bullying. Several studies have examined the relationship between overweight / obesity with bullying, The objective of this study was to analyze the bullying and its relation with the obesity in schoolchildren of seventh year of the schools of the El Sagrario parish of Loja city; for this was proposed in the development of this research: To determine the frequency of obesity in schoolchildren, to identify the actors of bullying in relation to mass index, to point out he prevalence of obese children who are victims of bullying, to point out the prevalence of obese children who are perpetrators of bullying, and to give to know measures for bullying prevention to teachers and students through lectures and delivery of leaflets. To development of research was made a descriptive, transversal, observational study made to 390 students of 7th year of basic education of 8 schools of the El Sagrario parish. to the determine the body mass index and the scale of assessment for bullying it was shown that the prevalence of obesity was 10.77%; the 40.76% of all schoolchildren suffered of bullying, the 19.48% were victims, the 12.82% aggressors, the 8.46% victim / aggressor, the 59.24% neutral; in the obese children the 40.48% were victims; and the 28.57% were aggressors. It is concluded that having overweight or obese makes to children more prone to be victims of bullying, or also aggressors but with also less likely.
