Resumo: | This research was carried out in the San Roque Parish, Canton Piñas; In order to evaluate the productive and economic Indicators in raising young bulls kept on pasture, with three supplementary portions based on chicken manure and sugarcane. The rehearsal lasted 90 days and we utilized 21 young bulls which were 18 to 24 months, with an average weight of 294 kg; Each one had its respective identification and constituted an experimental unit. The bulls were separated in three groups which were made up of seven each and were given extra rations which consisted of 00, 20 and 40% of chicken manure. We used a design of three blocks at random with three treatments and seven repetitions. We studied the following variables; the chemical composition of food rations and grass, food consumption, weight gain, feed conversion and profitability. The statistical analysis was done by using the Tukey test. The results showed that the higher feed intake based on dry matter was registered in treatment one with a total of 895,76 kg, which represented a daily consumption of 9,95 kg; While treatment three had the lowest consumption with a total of 856,48 kg, which represented a daily consumption of 9,52 kg. The greatest weight gain was obtained in treatment one with an average 90,57 kg, which represented a daily gain of 1006 g. Experiment one had the best feed conversion with 10,03; this means that the animals in this group needed to eat 10,03 kg of food aid based of dry matter to increase 1 kg of weight; while treatment three was less efficient with a conversion of 14,53. The highest profitability was achieved by treatment one With 20,73%; Which means that for every $ 100 investment $ 20,73 was won; While treatment three generated the lowest income with 19,05%. |
