Summary:The research had as objective: design an educational program of prevention to reduce school violence, descriptive cross-sectional study with a quasi- experimental design, supported by methods scientific, inductive, deductive, analytical, synthetic, comprehensive, diagnostic and modeling; It was necessary the use of the survey and the questionnaire for the evaluation of and Primary School Violence (CEVEIP) in a sample of 26 students were used. Results: the diagnosis is 46,15% of investigated hit other children and 19,23% have been subjected to violence; the pre-test is known to the 42,31% experienced school violence, after the prevention education program decreased the percentage of experienced situations (hits, insults and nicknames) 15,38% (pos-test), the proposal of intervention achieved a correlation of r(x,y) = 0,97 which means the existence of a very high positive correlation. Conclusion: there is a manifestation of violence in schools among students; prevention education program allowed to decrease school violence, noting that there is a high positive correlation to work peer school violence through prevention education program
