The prevalence of mange in dogs treated at the Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostic Health was 89%. The genus of mite Demodex canis higher prevalence is 92.13%, followed by Sarcoptes escabiei 5, 62%, and fewer are the Otodectes cynotis 2.25%. The prevalence of scabies by gender, females are 92.31% and 85.42% in males. By age there was a prevalence of mange in dogs 0-12 months and 85.71% in dogs over one year of age of 90.77%. Prevalence by race, it was determined that the Labrador, English Bulldog and Beagle dogs were hardest hit 100% while the lowest prevalence was observed in 60% Cocker and Pekingese breeds 50%.
