Tag hinzufügen | Zusammenfassung: | Poverty is one of the problems that has been witnessed for several years, so governments try to eliminate it. It is considered that one of the factors that can affect the reduction of poverty is the regional economic income. In this scenario arose the present topic research, whose objective is to analyze the relationship between the regional economic income and the poverty in the 218 cantons during the year 2010, through spatial econometric methods. In the research, we used grouped cross-sectional data taken from the National Economic Census (CENEC) for the year 2010, the dependent variable is the poverty of each region and the independent variable is the regional economic income measured by the gross value added. Finally, there are policies and programs that seek to increase regional economic income through an environment that provides access to basic services, freedoms and opportunities to reduce poverty in Ecuador.
