Тойм:The present research work entitled: "OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH IN THE COMPANIES OF LOJA ", has as its main objective to determine the application of the Occupational Safety and Health Plan in the companies in Loja. The study includes a bibliographic research in which the main theories, concepts and legal norms on Occupational Safety and Health are collected, as well as research carried out in other cities. In addition, this research had a quantitative approach and a simple comparative descriptive design type, a study population of 782 companies registered in the Superintendence of companies was taken, for this, the survey technique was used, a format was made for micro companies and another model for small, medium and large companies. The following results were obtained: 56% of the micro-companies do not have a safety and health delegate, 41% do not carry out training on occupational hazards and 49% do not train their personnel on the prevention of occupational diseases. In small companies it was found that 76% have not had any occupational accidents, 37% have not implemented training on the prevention of occupational diseases, 25% do not carry out medical examinations for retirement and 37% still do not have a protocol for the prevention and attention of cases of discrimination against women, and in medium-sized companies 57% do not have a format for recording occupational accidents and only 14% apply medical examinations for retirement. Likewise, the risks to which the companies' workers are most exposed are ergonomic risks, psychosocial risks, electrical risks and mechanical risks.
