Summary:This research work about the “Incidence of the didactic resources using new technologies in the learning of the English language in the students of the Technical University of Loja, 2008-2009. Alternative outlines” has the following goals: General goal: - To determine the incidence about the didactic resources and new technologies in the learning of the English language in the students of the UTPL. In this research work, a quantitative and qualitative methodology was applied, because it allowed to know, to describe, and to understand the incidence on the students of the UTPL of the new technologies in the learning of the English language. The analytic method was used, because it allowed to analyze the different didactical resources used when learning English, also the new technology used in learning was analyzed and then the variables were compared to determine the kind of incidence in the process of learning English. In this research work , surveys were applied to the students of the UTPL and after getting and analyzing the results both hypotheses were proved, because the results in the surveys showed that the use of the new technology influences in the learning and that its use is very necessary to get better results. When analyzing the surveys’ results, it can be concluded that there is a high acknowledge of the different alternatives that new technology has because UTPL students are using only a 7% of the technological available resources . Also, it could be observed there is a low percentage of the attendance to English tutorials, only 28% attends them in a punctual way. There is an alternative outline where there are some tips as a result of this research in order to contribute to the UTPL, and, finally there is a proposal of having a seminar- workshop for the students of the UTPL to share the results of this work and to enable students to use all the technology they have available.
