| Izvleček: | Preventing tooth decay is one of the main tasks of any dental professional. More than a century researchers have sought to develop methods, techniques and materials to prevent, each time with greater efficiency, the development of caries, today is suggested to increase the retention of dental sealants, adhesives making them suitable for fifth and sixth generation. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the degree of microfiltration microscopically dental sealants adhesives using fifth and sixth generation premolars extracted for therapeutic reasons. We worked with two groups of 15 pieces each, the first group was placed fifth generation adhesive and the second group was placed sixth generation adhesive sealant with the same for the two groups. All parts were thermocycled manually dipped in methylene blue 0.5 %, were sectioned and taken to the stereomicroscope. Adhesive samples with the fifth generation 43.34 % grade 0 microfiltration obtained, meanwhile adhesive samples sixth generation only 3.33% were grade 0 microfiltration. Therefore further studies should be performed with other materials, to evaluate the performance of each material. Keywords: Microfiltration, dental sealant, dental bonding, thermocycling |
