Zusammenfassung:Family disintegration is a relevant problem in the life of contemporary families, its causes and effects are deeply linked to the socioeconomic practice and the worldview of today's society. From this perspective, the research on family disintegration and its impact on the behavior of children at the Caritas Alegres CDI in the Piñas canton today, had as its main objective to analyze how family disintegration affects the behavior of children who attend the Caritas Alegres Child Development Center today. To achieve this objective, a study was proposed with a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive approach, an ethnographic design, which included techniques such as documentary analysis, semi-structured interviews and observation. The behavior of a population of 36 children from 1 to 3 years old was analyzed and the opinion of four educators who work with the children investigated was collected. For the observation, a form adapted from Merrell was used, modified by Reyna and Brussino (2010) and was carried out for two weeks, in three weekly educational sessions. The study showed that the most frequent psychosocial problems in the population studied are aggression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety and egocentrism. These problems affect 8 of the 36 children. The interview showed the teachers' conviction that family disintegration significantly affects children's behavior, although they rule out that it is the only cause of bad behavior, since it is the result of multiple causes. At the same time, all the interviewees recognize the presence of children with bad behavior in their classrooms and agree in pointing out that aggression, hyperactivity and inattention, anxiety and egocentrism are the most frequent. The research concluded that children who come from broken homes or those in the process of disintegration present emotional imbalances that significantly affect their integral development
