Sumari:The general objective of this research, called the itinerary method and the learning of Social Studies in General Basic Education, is to analyze how the itinerary method influences the learning of Social Studies, in block 1 “History and Identity” in the eighth grade of General Basic Education of the “José Ángel Palacio” Educational Unit, period 2023-2024. As specific objectives were established: to diagnose the level of learning of Social Studies, in block 1 “History and Identity” in the eighth grade of General Basic Education of the Educational Unit “José Ángel Palacio” period 2023-2024; to design a didactic proposal with the use of the method of itineraries in the learning of Social Studies, in block 1 “History and Identity” in the eighth grade of General Basic Education; to execute the didactic proposal for the strengthening of the learning of Social Studies, in block 1 “History and Identity” in the eighth grade of General Basic Education. It had a mixed approach that allowed collecting, interpreting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, the type of research was descriptive, because through this method the description of the variables of the itinerary method and learning in Social Studies was carried out, where the opinion and contribution of the researcher stood out, with a non- experimental design where we worked with a didactic proposal with the purpose of providing improvement alternatives, a diagnostic evaluation was applied at the beginning and end of the research to 12 students of the eighth parallel grade “A”, a probabilistic sampling was carried out based on the type of random sample. The application of the itinerary method proved to be innovative and creative to form students capable of reasoning and identifying situations that help to strengthen learning in Social Studies.
