Zusammenfassung:First aid applied in the right way in the care of casual incidents to increase the chances of survival of the victim. During the student life in the educational establishments can occur incidents and accidents that is the need for the knowledge of them. For that is propose the follow objectives: Establish the level of knowledge about first aid and Basic Life Support in the students of first and second year of high school, parallel "H" of the Beatriz Cueva de Ayora High School in Loja´s city; to present a proposal of training on First aid and basic life support in the first and second year students of baccalaureate, parallel "H" of the Beatriz Cueva de Ayora High School of Loja City; and execute the training proposal. It was a research project that is part of a Macro-project of Descriptive, Transversal, and intervention type whose population was made up of 156 students between the first and second year of the "Beatriz Cueva de Ayora" high school, the sample of 18 students who make up a single parallel. As instruments, a questionnaire of 15 questions of authorship of the Macro project was applied, the answers were classified in three categories Excellent, Satisfactory and Insufficient. The results indicate that initially the level of Knowledge of First Aid was Insufficient corresponding to 70.59%. Subsequent to the intervention and training there was descend to 11.77%, plus a 58.82% of satisfactory and 29.41% of excellent KEYWORDS: Level of Knowledge, First Aid, Intervention, Training
