Izvleček:The present research project called "The comic and the grotesque in plastic art for representations of the attitudes of the human being towards principles of religion through contemporary neofigurative pictorial works." In the first place, it proposes to analyze the ethics and morals of the human being in the face of principles of the Judeo-Christian religion, in addition to the aesthetic categories of the ugly, the comic and the grotesque, in the same way neofigurative techniques such as: the monstrous, the deformation and the alteration of the bodies for the execution of a plastic proposal of personal interpretation.In the development of the research, the deductive – inductive method was used, which has allowed to start from general concepts towards the particular ones, with the motive of achieving a better understanding of the neofiguration thoughts and contexts in which it is developed, in addition to the aesthetic categories of: the ugly, the comic and grotesque. In the same way, an inductive research was developed taking references which have allowed the analysis of works, starting from the particular to the general to later re-contextualize the ideas and create new artistic languages reaching irony and sarcasm.Each work is based on the experimentation of neofigurative methods, techniques and aesthetic categories such as: the deformation and alteration of bodies, the monstrous, the ugly, the comic and grotesque; this choice was made in order to captivate the ideas that are sustained in relation to the imaginary; Likewise, the creations of the reference artists, Francis Bacon and Luigi Stornaiolo, were studied, which have allowed pictorial works based on the deadly sins, thus being of a critical nature, to the principles of the Judeo-Christian religion.
