| Summary: | The following research work entitled: stress and work performance in teacher at Colegio de Bachillerato Particular Miguel Ángel Suárez, in the Loja city during 2020-2021 academic period; it is related to psychological issues faced by teachers in the classrooms and educational institutions, it consists of: introduction, methodology, analysis, interpretation of results, literature review, conclusions and recommendations. The general objective was: determine how the stress is related to work performance of teachers at Colegio de Bachillerato Particular Miguel Ángel Suárez. It was developed with the purpose of discovering factors that causes a level of stress in teachers that affect the work environment in which they work. It was a non – experimental field design with a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach whose character is explicative and descriptive. The methods applied were: scientific, descriptive, hermeneutic, analytic and descriptive stadistic; to support the research, techniques and instruments such as the Levestein Perceived Stress questionary and the Phycological inventory of Organizational climate were also used. The obtained results showed that they presented cognitive exhaustion as well as emotional and physical exhaustion caused by job stress which have percussions in the work performance, for this reason, the Work Stress Intervention Guide was recommended to guide and encourage the learning of stress management in the work environment. |
