| Tóm tắt: | Child labor is a phenomenon that significantly affects the comprehensive development of children and adolescents, especially in vulnerable contexts such as that of the ETI Catamayo Project. This project focuses on a region where child labor prevails due to socioeconomic, cultural and educational factors. The research seeks to analyze how this practice negatively impacts different aspects of the development of children, including their physical and mental health, education and social well-being. The comprehensive development of children and adolescents implies harmonious growth in various dimensions: physical, emotional, cognitive and social. However, child labor interrupts this natural process by exposing children to working conditions that are not appropriate for their age, putting their health at risk and limiting their educational opportunities. Children who work often face higher school dropout rates, poor academic performance and physical and mental health problems, which perpetuates a cycle of poverty and vulnerability. In the context of the Catamayo ETI Project, the research will evaluate two variables such as socioeconomic factors, causes of child labor, social protection factors, factors that affect educational entry, impact on the community, awareness and education about rights. Through a methodological approach that combines surveys, interviews and statistical analysis, the main barriers and risk factors are identified, as well as possible strategies to mitigate child labor. The objective is to determine the factors that influence child labor in girls, boys and adolescents in the Catamayo Canton ETI Project, offering recommendations and policies that can be implemented to improve the situation of children in this region, ensuring a healthier and more equitable integral development for children affected by this problem |
