Izvleček:The thesis entitled: THE LEARNING TEACHING MATERIAL FOR COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT IN CHILDREN OF PREPARATORY OF THE EDUCATION BASIC SCHOOL DOCTOR DANIEL RODAS BUSTAMANTE OF THE CITY OF LOJA. LESSON PERIOD 2017-2018. Its general objective is: to investigate the playful material for cognitive development in high school children. Scientific, descriptive and analytical-synthetic methods were used. The instruments: the survey applied to teachers and the test of cognitive skills aimed at children. The results obtained from the surveys were: 100% of the teachers indicate that the ludic didactic material is important for the cognitive development of the children. Regarding the results of the application of the pretest of the cognitive skills test, it was determined that the majority of children do not comply with a haptic perception, concentration and verbal expression of a logical judgment, for which the elaboration was determined of the proposal "use of ludic material"; After making the application of the proposal and applying the cognitive skills post test, it is determined that there is improvement in puzzles from an initial 60% to 100% in the post test application; in auditory perception of 40% to 90%, in verbal expression of a logical judgment of 40% to 90%, in motor perception, from 50% to 80%, in visual perception from 50% to 80% , in concentration from 30% to 80%, haptics from 30% to 60%. Concluding that the ludic didactic material contributes to children's cognitive development both in their motor, auditory, haptic, visual perception, their concentration and the verbal expression of a logical judgment. It is recommended that recreational didactic material should be used very frequently and from an early age to ensure the integral development of children in all their areas of learning.
