| Shrnutí: | Diabetes Mellitus is the frecuently endocrine disease, it is a chronic noncomunicable disease, due to the demographic transition occurring in the world, is becoming increasingly important by their morbidity and mortality, for its disabling effects affecting life quality of sufferers and their families. It determined in this research, the importance of risk factors for one of the main chronic complications of diabetes mellitus is diabetic nephropathy, according to age, gender, age at which diabetes is diagnosed and associated factors as hypertension and smoking, in order to make aware peolpe about the risks of the disease. For this research work a study with a non-experimental, analytical, quantitative approach and cross-sectional observational design was performed. Using the survey as a tool, which provides valuable information for the completion of this work. The survey was applied to 52 patients who voluntarily agreed to participate in this study and who met the criteria for inclusion and exclusion previously established. Data were entered into a database and analyzed using Microsoft Excel simple statistic. By applying the survey in the study group was obtained as a result of the 52 patients with diabetic nephropathy most were in an age range between 45-65 years, most of these patients are female gender and are diagnosed with mostly hypertension. In addition to studying these patients have an average of 15 years of evolution of the Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Diabetic nephropathy, risk factors |
