總結:The present research is on ASSERTIVE COMMUNICATION TO STRENGTHEN SELF-ESTEEM IN THE STUDENT OF 5th GRADE “A” , AT “MIGUEL RIOFRIO” SCHOOL, IN THE EVENING, LOJA 2016-2017.; for this work was formulated as a general objective: To implement assertive communication to strengthen self-esteem in the students of 5th grade “A”, the type of descriptive study, pre-experimental design, cross-section; the methods used were the deductive, inductive, scientific, analytical and synthetic and statistical interpretation of the pre and post test; the instrument applied was the Lucy Reidl self-esteem scale, applied in a sample of 31 students and 3 teachers, workshops was used as an alternative to solve the problems presented in the research. The research was obtained of the pre-test results, 61% of students reached a level of regular self-esteem, after applying the proposed regular self-esteem level, was reduced to 35%, raising self-esteem at a good level with 39%. It is concluded that the level of self-esteem students presented was regular and through the application of techniques of assertive communication through workshops to teachers and students Pearson's r showed a high positive correlation between the variables in such a way that the implementation of the proposal helped to raise the self-esteem of the students, therefore the use of assertive communication techniques is recommended teachers and psychologists to strengthen the self-esteem of the students when they have low self-esteem.
