The research was obtained of the pre-test results, 61% of students reached a level of regular self-esteem, after applying the proposed regular self-esteem level, was reduced to 35%, raising self-esteem at a good level with 39%. It is concluded that the level of self-esteem students presented was regular and through the application of techniques of assertive communication through workshops to teachers and students Pearson's r showed a high positive correlation between the variables in such a way that the implementation of the proposal helped to raise the self-esteem of the students, therefore the use of assertive communication techniques is recommended teachers and psychologists to strengthen the self-esteem of the students when they have low self-esteem. |

It is concluded that the level of self-esteem students presented was regular and through the application of techniques of assertive communication through workshops to teachers and students Pearson's r showed a high positive correlation between the variables in such a way that the implementation of the proposal helped to raise the self-esteem of the students, therefore the use of assertive communication techniques is recommended teachers and psychologists to strengthen the self-esteem of the students when they have low self-esteem.La presente investigación versa sobre LA COMUNICACIÓN ASERTIVA PARA FORTALECER LA AUTOESTIMA EN LOS ALUMNOS DE QUINTO GRADO “A”, ESCUELA “MIGUEL RIOFRÍO”, SECCIÓN VESPERTINA, LOJA. 2016-2017.; para este trabajo se formuló como objetivo general: Aplicar la comunicación asertiva para fortalecer la autoestima en los alumnos de quinto grado “A”, el tipo de estudio descriptivo, diseño pre-experimental, corte transversal; los métodos utilizados fueron el deductivo, inductivo, científico, analítico y sintético y estadístico para la interpretación del pre y pos test; el instrumento aplicado fue la Escala de Autoestimación de Lucy Reidl, aplicada en una muestra de 31 estudiantes y 3 docentes, se utilizó talleres como alternativa para dar solución a la problemática presentada en la investigación. De la investigación se obtuvo resultados del pre-test, el 61% de alumnos alcanza un nivel de autoestima regular, después de aplicar la propuesta se redujo a un 35% el nivel de autoestima regular, elevando la autoestima a un nivel bueno con un 39%.
