Consumo de aines y la relación con la existencia de gastritis en el personal que labora en la Policía Nacional del cantón Zamora, en el año 2014.

Unnecessary use and excessive consumption of nonsteroidalantiinflammatory drugs ( NSAIDs) are a practical and condition as old in our society , either by social, economic and cultural reasons , becoming a serious public health problem . Taking aim to bring this practice, a bibliography , descriptive, explanatory , applied and cross-sectional study was conducted . The study was conducted on a sample 175 people working in the National Police of the canton Zamora. By applying a survey, the results show that of the 175 people he surveys 92.57 % consume nonsteroidalantiinflammatory drugs ( NSAIDs) without prescription , being the most consumed drug ibuprofen with 41.14 % , the reason was to present symptoms as : Muscle pain 36.00 % , 29.71 % sprains , backache 23.43 % , 10.86 % headache , medication acquisition by recommending medication was 32.00 % , and 26.29 % old prescription . 26.86 % said the main reason for making such practice is the easy access of the acquisition, 12.57% , considering that sickness is mild, because previously took the medication 23.43% . The 84.57 % reported consuming the drug eased the symptoms suffered , with the consequence that the 33.71 % showed adverse reactions such as pain in the upper abdomen . Finally, the results show that most of the study population consumes inflammatory drugs ( NSAIDs) erroneous and excessive way , which is why we implemented a plan of action based on health care and education to raise awareness about the correct use NSAID medicines prescribed by a medical assessment prior to the physician
