| Summary: | This research titled, THERAPEUTIC COMPARISON IVERMECTIN PERMETHRIN VIA ORAL AND TOPICAL TREATMENT IN PEDICULOSIS CAPITIS LIEUTENANT IN SCHOOLS HUGO ORTIZ AND REPUBLIC OF CUBA CITY LOJA IN THE PERIOD APRIL – SEPTEMBER 2013, is part of the research career Human Medicine, the Department of Human Health, National University of Loja, arises in the same general objective: To compare the therapeutic efficacy between oral ivermectin and topical permethrin in the treatment of pediculosis capitis in students of schools "Lieutenant Hugo Ortiz" and school "Republic of Cuba" city of Loja in the period April to September 2013. For the development of this research, the methods were used: descriptive, cross and experiment; the investigated sample consisted of 100 students. The instrument used for data collection was the survey of elementary school students. From the results obtained it is concluded that the most effective treatment to combat head lice is permethrin topical, with the only side effect itching scalp, Also the risk factors that lead to the spread of this infestation is hair long and straight; the overcrowding and poor hygiene on the part of the students surveyed. It is recommended that the educational institution to meet the therapeutic efficacy of topical permethrin in the treatment of pediculosis capitis; through prevention campaigns and speeches aimed at the educational community. |
