Summary:This research work aims : To determine the knowledge and practice of family planning in adolescents of Shiramentza - Gualaquiza Shuar community and its impact of teenage pregnancy in the period May to February 2014 , a test that can determine the frequency of pregnancies that occur in adolescence , the methodology used for this study is descriptive - cross ; description that the knowledge and practices of adolescents have Shiramentza Shuar community about pregnancy is determined; Cross that will be studied in a given time period May 2013 - February 2014 , the universe was composed 172 inhabitants of the community Shiram - Entza , the shows they formed 48 adolescents in this community for this we use as a technical survey it was filled with the consent of the nurse in charge of this community. Once obtained the information proceeded to the tabulation of data, which are presented in simple tables and cross frequently relative percentage distribution , and statistical graphs the same that led us to the following conclusions: 48 teens surveyed 23 of them have had teenage pregnancies and 23 adolescents, 15 with 65.2 % had two pregnancies in their teens, it attached to the possibility that more than one pregnancy in adolescence is presented is consistent the majority of these adolescents begin sexual life at an early age. Teenagers of the 48 respondents 64.6 % do not know about family planning, not using a contraceptive method , thus producing there is a high rate of teenage pregnancies
