| Résumé: | Adolescence is a transitional stage where a series of emotional, social, physical and cognitive changes are manifested, during this phase feelings of separation are experienced, but also the desire to relate to others increases and there is a greater susceptibility to loneliness, the perception of feeling alone and not having a support can generate various consequences including increased suicidal risk. Loneliness is a feeling known by all human beings, it is also considered an epidemic of modern society because of its physical, social and mental consequences. Suicide has undoubtedly been the result of events derived from family problems, divorce, difficulties at school or other losses, which can influence in conflict resolution skills, perceiving them as impossible to resolve, and is defined as the act of physically harming oneself in order to intentionally cause death. The objective of this study was to show whether loneliness influences suicidal risk. It was a descriptive, cross-sectional, non-experimental quantitative design. It was carried out in an educational institution in Loja city, with a non-probabilistic sample of 138 adolescents. Data were obtained by means of the Jong Gierveld loneliness scale demonstrating the presence of moderate loneliness and by applying the Plutchik Suicidal Risk scale, it was found that there is no suicidal risk. Finally, a promotion and prevention plan was constructed in order to solve the aggravation of this problem |
