| סיכום: | Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a common virus that can cause infection in people of all ages. In most cases, it presents asymptomatically or produces mild symptoms. However, in immunosuppressed people, it can cause serious health problems. This infection during pregnancy can be transmitted to the fetus through the placenta and cause complications throughout gestation and in the development of a newborn. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze IgG and IgM antibodies to cytomegalovirus in pregnant patients who attended the LOJASALUD Medical Center from October 2022 to February 2023. For the development of this research, a non-experimental, descriptive cross-sectional quantitative design was used. A total of 80 blood samples were analyzed in pregnant women who attended the clinical laboratory of this health unit. The results show a frequency of 70 (87.5%) for the presence of IgG, while for IgM there were 10 cases (12.5%). In addition, risk factors such as: age (p=0.201), beginning of sexual life (p=1,000), having sexual relations (p=0.449), condom use (p=0.353) and previous diagnosis of CMV (p=0.704); of which it is established that there is a statistical relationship with the presence of IgG. Regarding IgM, the risk factors that had a statistically significant relationship are age (p=0.798), number of pregnancies (p=0.104), beginning of sexual life (p=1,000), having sexual relations (p=0.449) and condom use (p=0.121). Finally, it has been shown that the risk factors that affect are age, beginning of sexual life, having sexual relations, condom use, previous diagnosis of CMV and the number of pregnancies with the presence of IgG and IgM antibodies to CMV |
