| Shrnutí: | Hypertensive disorders of the gestation are directly associated with neonatal morbidity, being preeclampsia the hypertensive pathology which causes increased fetal affectation reason why the present study of type descriptive, retrospective was realized in the Isidro Ayora Hospital of Loja during the period from March to August of the year 2015; in which the general objective was to identify the morbidity of newborns, children born to mothers with hypertensive gestational disorders in the Isidro Ayora Hospital of Loja and as specific objectives: 1.- To identify the frequent pathologies in newborn from mothers with gestational hypertensive disorder; 2.- To determine maternal hypertensive complication causative of the most frequent neonatal morbidity; 3.- To Know the neonatal morbidity from children of hypertensive mothers according to their gender. During the period under study 84 files met the inclusion criteria were reviewed, obtaining as outcome that the morbidity of newborns from hypertensive mothers is of 79, 76%, the most common pathology of the newborn was the intrauterine growth retardation being reported with the 58,33% followed by the prematurity with the 46,43%, the most prevalent maternal hypertensive complication associated with morbidity in newborns was the leve preeclampsia with the 41,79% and the most affected gender of newborns with morbidity was the male with the 53,73%.
