Samenvatting:The research work analyzes the influence of the use of TikTok on the socio-affective development of the students at the Cardenal de la Torre Educational School. As this platform has become a space for digital socialization, it is essential to understand its effects on the emotional well-being and the formation of social skills in teenagers. The general objective was established to investigate the relationship between TikTok and the socio-affective development of students, considering the type of content, their emotions and possible forms of intervention. Among the specific objectives, the most popular content among students was analyzed. This made it possible to identify their preferences and the most relevant topics. This analysis provides a theoretical and field study in which various tools, techniques and research methods were used. A variety of techniques including student surveys to ascertain that the bulk of the content consumed was some type of comedy. These same interviews were carried out with teachers and expert professionals in psychology who are part of the student counseling department. As result of the research we can conclude that the TikTok platform influences the behavior, attitude and academic performance of the first-year high school students of the Cardenal de la Torre Educational School. Students tend to replicate what they learn, without discerning, without a reflection process, they simply replicate it which generates negative behaviors. Finally, based on the results, an educational intervention guide for adolescents in higher basic education is explained to improve their communication skills and self-esteem, as well as promote moderate use of the social network. Mixed methods were used for data analysis, including surveys, interviews and observation matrix
