| Özet: | Much of Latin America's population suffers from disturbances of mineral metabolism probably present no visible chronic kidney diseases clinically, but when they need application of substitute therapies , aggravating their situation, which can be prevented by conducting laboratory tests as inexpensive hormonal ( TH and PTH) and minerals (calcium , phosphorus , magnesium, etc.). Ecuador is no exception, as evidenced by the American Society of Nephrology, who said that about 9 % of the population suffers from some form of kidney disease, with 19% growth. The present study is a descriptive cross sectional, conducted in 53 dialysis patients who met the inclusion criteria, to which underwent hematologic determinations of serum calcium, phosphorus and parathyroid hormone, and were compared pre-and post-dialysis values and statistical association was found, reached the following conclusions: predialysis values: calcium = 7.7 mg / dL (SD 2.04) , phosphorus = 7.47 mg / dL (SD 2.26), parathormone = 350,76 pg / mL (SD 193.40 ). Calcium postdialysis values = 9.75 mg / dL (SD 1.01), phosphorus = 4.81 mg / dL (SD 1.63), parathormone = 279.07 pg / mL (SD 166.98) . Phosphorus in postdializados (p = 0.0438) - statistically significant association was found between parathyroid hormone. Keywords: chronic dialysis, parathyroid hormone, calcium and phosphorus renal failure. |
