| Sumari: | The present research project named SURREALISM TECHNIQUES STUDY FOR THE CREATION OF A PAINTING AND ASSEMBLAGE PROPOSAL BASED ON THE SURVIVAL INSTINCT AND THE DARK AND GOTHIC FANTASY IN THE CONTEMPORARY TIME, proposes an analysis of the surrealist movement for the execution of a plastic proposal based on its techniques, the dark, gothic fantasy, the survival instinct, the Sigmund Freud’s dreams theory, and some aesthetic categories related to surrealism. For the development of the research project, the deductive - inductive method was used, which allows starting from general concepts to particular ones in order to achieve a better understanding of the movement, as well as its characteristics, thoughts and context in which it was developed; and in turn, to understand the theoretical and artistic supports used. In addition, observation cards are used, which have allowed the collection and structuring of data for the analysis of the artistic references of works taken up again. Subsequently, this information was systematized and re-contextualized to facilitate the creation of the previous sketches, in order to obtain a relationship regarding the theoretical-practical work. Each work is based on the experimentation of surreal methods and techniques taken up again, which are: painting, assemblage, automatic writing, dripping, exquisite corpse and the paranoid-critical method; this choice was made with the aim of captivating the ideas sustained by various events arising from personal experiences and the imaginary in relation to the terrifying and dark; likewise, the iconography of the referring artists and of recreated elements was studied, this has allowed the creation of parallel worlds, different universes and independent realities which have been fundamental in the development of the work. |
