Shrnutí:The present research is focused on the automotive sector, because the vehicles are a major source of pollution in the environment, because most of these operate with internal combustion engines, which emit toxic gases that cause the greenhouse effect, for this reason appear the need to use sources of non-polluting energy. The development of this project has as objective the conception of the design and construction of an engine for minor vehicles such as a bike that works with compressed air. The engine will consist of a cylinder, a piston, rod and other components that can be expected from a conventional mechanical, with the newness to the cylinder chamber will enter compressed air. The force of expansion of the compressed air will move the piston inside the cylinder and with this will get the mechanical energy of rotation for the movement of the vehicle and the transmission of movement will be through the same system of freewheel that is built into the bicycles for the controlled use of compressed air.
