| Summary: | One of the most revolutionary concepts of psychology and medicine of the twentieth century has been the stress; because of the central role that stress has held in the health and life of each individual. Because of their transcendence and extension, it’s necessary to study it thoroughly, know their different dimensions, the way it operates and especially learn how to handle it properly. Therefore the goal of this study was to characterize the relationship between stress levels and lifestyles in students. To do this, we made descriptive a study in a population of 114 college students of Electronics and Telecommunications at the National University of Loja. For the collection was used as instrument a virtual questionnaire "How much stress I have?" That made possible to detect the stress level in the context of the normal and usual life through six variables named: lifestyle, environment, symptoms stress, interpersonal relationships, personality and academic Development. The results show that a large percentage of students have a normal level of stress, while a minority present high stress levels (III and X module). With respect to lifestyle, more than half of the students have inadequate dietary habits, sleeplessness and poor physical activity. Keywords: lifestyle, stress level. |
