For the phenotypic characterization, zoometric measurements were taken as phaneroptic, to determine its production system, a goat producer survey was carried out, in the same way to establish the productive and reproductive parameters. The results that were found to the racial bio-type of the Creole goat of the parish Limones is of a small stature goat (62-65 cm height at the withers), of short body length (61-68 cm), of face profile straight (83.7%), with short horns (71%) and long horns (29%) in the form of a saber, straight and short ears (80%), with a fur attached to the body (92%) in the same that predominate two main layers black and brown, with irregular spots throughout the body, with a globose udder (88%), presence of sarcillos (15%), short nipples (2,2 cm) and pigmented (86%) as well as the hooves, with a width of chest of 15-16 cm, its average daily gain in extensive conditions is low, but it has a great ability to adapt and survive in extreme conditions where it develops, of low milk production, with values of 0 , 5 liters / day / animal, with a duration of lactation of approximately 30 days, with a labor-estrus interval of approximately 103 days. For the values obtained here it is recommended the preservation of the Creole resource and the continuity of research work on it. Key words: phenotypically, parameters, zoometrics, goats, interval, characterization, spots, globose.El presente trabajo de investigación, se desarrolló en la parroquia Limones del cantón Zapotillo, ubicada a 22 km de la cabecera cantonal, con el propósito de caracterizar fenotípicamente a la cabra criolla y el sistema de producción en el cual está siendo explotada, de igual forma de determinar los parámetros productivos, reproductivos y zoométricos, una vez obtenidos los mismos socializarlos con los actores involucrados en el rubro caprino. Se utilizaron 14 hatos caprinos, con un número de 86 animales en estudio dentro de los mismos, con un peso de 33-39 kg en la edad adulta; se hicieron dos visitas a los hatos con un intervalo promedio de 70 días entre la primera y segunda visita. Para la caracterización fenotípica se tomaron medidas zoométricas como fanerópticas, para determinar su sistema de producción se hizo una encuesta al productor caprino, de igual forma para establecer los parámetros productivos y reproductivos. Los resultados que se encontraron al bio-tipo racial de la cabra criolla de la parroquia Limones es de una cabra estatura pequeña (62-65 cm altura a la cruz), de longitud corporal corta (61-68 cm), de perfil de rostro recto (83,7%), con cuernos cortos (71%) y largos (29%) en forma de sable, orejas rectas y cortas (80 %), con un pelaje pegado al cuerpo (92 %) en el mismo que predominan dos capas principales el negro y café, con manchas irregulares por todo el cuerpo, con una ubre globosa (88%), presencia de sarcillos ( 15%), pezones cortos (2,2 cm) y pigmentados (86%) al igual que las pezuñas, con un ancho de pecho de 15-16 cm, su ganancia media diaria en condiciones extensivas es baja, pero posee una gran habilidad de adaptación y supervivencia en condiciones extremas en donde se desarrolla, de baja producción láctea, con valores de 0,5 litros/día/animal, con una duración de la lactancia de aproximadamente 30 días, con un intervalo parto-celo de 103 días aproximadamente. Por los valores aquí obtenidos se recomienda la preservación del recurso criollo y la continuidad de trabajos investigativos sobre el mismo.
