| Izvleček: | The present research is about the incidence of environmental education in the formation of ecological attitudes in the students of eight, nine and ten years of Basic Education at “Pío Jaramillo Alvarado” High School, afternoon section. The main objective of the research pretends to highlight the importance of a participative Environmental Education as a substantial element in the formation of environmental attitudes of students of the eight, nine and ten years of Basic Education at “Pío Jaramillo Alvarado” High School, afternoon section, academic year 2008 – 2009. The specific objectives of the present research work seeks: To demonstrate that the formation of ecological attitudes of students of the eight, nine and ten years of Basic Education at “Pío Jaramillo Alvarado” High School, depend on the practical realization of the theoretical concepts included in related themes with environmental education. To determine if the knowledge that is being acquired in related topics to the Environmental Education with influence in the formation of environmental attitudes of the students of the eight, nine and ten years of Basic Education at “Pío Jaramillo Alvarado” High School, afternoon section. To design a proposal lineament to the treatment of related topics to the environmental education with the goal of bettering the attitudes of the students of the eight, nine and ten years of Basic Education at “Pío Jaramillo Alvarado” High School, Afternoon Section. The present research was framed in the type of research supported by the methods: scientific, descriptive, the tool for analysis was the inductive - deductive method, sustained in the techniques of observation and surveys. It has been determined to work considering the total of students’ population of the eight, nine and ten years of Basic Education at “Pío Jaramillo Alvarado” High School, afternoon section, the total number of students was constituted by 187. To continue with the development of the field research, it was determined important conclusions, between them we can mention: The majority of students of the eight, nine and ten years of Basic Education at “Pío Jaramillo Alvarado” High School, afternoon section have knowledge of related topics with environmental education, but with a remarkable lack of interest to carry out to the practice the theoretical knowledge they got. It was known that the majority of the surveyed students have received speeches about related topics with rubbish recycling, however it is evident a poor application of it. The students of eight, nine and ten years of Basic Education at “Pío Jaramillo Alvarado” High School, afternoon section, are conscious that the studied theory in related topics with environmental education needs to be carried out to the practice because they know the importance of the help that as students they can offer in the management and care of the environment not only inside of the Institution but outside of it, furthermore it is not possible to modify the conduct patterns related with the environment only in the cognitive field of those who are learning. The majority of surveyed students desire that in the institution could be an ecological club, where they will be able to develop permanent practices to help to maintain our ecology. A big part of students suggest that as an activity to do debates, video- conferences, in the related topics with environmental education, funding in this way the importance that environmental education has with positive of everyone’s’ health. The topics that reach the interest in students of the eight, nine and ten years of Basic Education, are the recycling rubbish, respect and care of nature and area conservation of green areas, and finally they present interest for forestation. The solution to this problematic must be integral and not only to guide students, but including institutional dimensions and structural with the educative system, as an urgent and priority plan. |
