الملخص: | The degradation of the natural heritage in the South Region of Ecuador (Loja, El Oro and Zamora Chinchipe) generates the need to recover it through ecological restoration strategies, for which it is necessary to identify in a simple way the areas to be restored. The objectives of this titration work were: to use the multicriteria evaluation to identify the priority areas that need to be restored; determine by remote sensing the reference sites for the priority areas identified; and prioritize ecological restoration strategies for sites that need to be restored by macroecosystem and natural resource (soil, vegetation, fauna, water). The Analytical Hierarchical Process was used in an environment of geographic information systems to define priorities, for this, 5 environmental criteria, 4 socioeconomic criteria and 4 intrinsic criteria were considered, additional knowledge of experts in ecological restoration was incorporated through matrices of paired comparison. The reference sites were determined through the supervised classification of satellite images and the exclusion of the areas with some type of disturbance. In addition, the Analytical Hierarchical Process was used in a geographic information systems environment to define reference priorities, 2 were considered. criteria of coverage and land use, 4 criteria related to the National System of Protected Areas and 4 socioeconomic criteria, also the criterion of experts was incorporated. The results indicate that close to 10% of the study area, classified with maximum priority. On the other hand, the area with potential to serve as a reference is 2.73% and finally, ecological restoration strategies were generated for the areas that need priority attention in ecological restoration, was proposed according to the 8 macroecosystems of CSR and natural resources (soil, vegetation, fauna, water).
