Desarrollo de un sistema de soporte para la dirección general de Informática de la Universidad Nacional de Loja, mediante la utilización de tecnología WEB.

The present investigation is executed with the purpose of developing a support system for the Jefatura de Informática of the Universidad Nacional de Loja by means of the use Web technology whose purpose is to put to the personnel's of the university disposition a mechanism that facilitates computer science's personnel the support activities and the storing of information for its re-use. The developed product is a system that allows to offer on-line support or outside of line and it stores the related information; to publish files of documentation of help, to administer areas of knowledge, support categories, solutions and users, as well as to generate reports and statistical graphics of the support applications and their solutions. Also, its offers a modulate to administration of hardware and the register from these hardware to maintenance and their respective administration. Most of the development tools used for the elaboration of the system are open source and free software. It uses an architecture of three layers where a separation is made between the presentation layer and the access layer to data through the layer of business logic. The development platform is java and the main used technologies are JSF, Spring and Hibernate you, besides JasperReports, JFreeChart, iReports and JavaMail. The system use MySQL database agent for data store and its integrated to the application a JabberApplet client Chat and instant messaging (IM) and chat server Openfire that implements the XMPP protocol.
