| סיכום: | Implementing didactic strategies during the development of the teaching-learning process allows the creation of an active and participatory environment where students assume the leading role in the construction of their learning, which is essential to enhance their academic performance. Thus, the objective of this research work was: “To enhance the use of didactic strategies in the teaching-learning process of Biology in university students through the development of an intervention proposal that strengthens academic performance for its subsequent replication in the educational scenarios of their profession”. In the development of the research, the inductive method was used; since, the student researcher through direct observation during the execution of the pre-professional practices has identified that during the development of the teaching-learning process, the didactic strategies implemented by teachers in educational institutions of Higher General Basic Education and General Baccalaureate are repetitive, which generates in students distraction, disinterest and little participation, significantly affecting their academic performance. Given this situation and considering that students who are trained in the Pedagogy of Experimental Sciences, Chemistry, and Biology, will later work as teachers in educational institutions of Higher General Basic Education and Unified General Baccalaureate; it has been seen as convenient that future professionals know about the implementation of didactic strategies in the classroom process and how these allow energizing this process and at the same time enhance the academic performance of students and thus gradually eradicate this problem in the exercise of their profession. In addition, this research has a qualitative approach, since the particularities of the teaching-learning process of Biology were identified. Through bibliographic research, it was possible to determine didactic strategies that enhance the academic performance of students. The results obtained through the application of evaluation and research instruments indicate that the didactic strategies: explanatory-illustrative, game-based learning, learning stations, discovery learning, challenge-based learning, and information management were able to awaken interest in the subject, encourage active participation in each class, facilitate the construction of learning and optimize academic performance. At the end of the research, it is concluded that to enhance the academic performance of students, it is appropriate to implement didactic strategies in the development of the teaching-learning process and that these strategies should be adapted to the contents addressed in Biology.
