Thêm thẻ | Tóm tắt: | The purpose of this research work was to determine the influence of family neglect on the levels of depression and anxiety in older adults in the Saraguro Canton. The methodology was correlational and descriptive with a quantitative and qualitative approach. The instruments used were: Sociodemographic record and psychological tests: Yesavage GDS Geriatric Depression Scale and Hamilton Anxiety Scale. The investigated population was 90 older adults belonging to the Saraguro Canton, made up of 32 men and 58 women between the ages of 65 and 90 years. Among the results obtained it was observed that there is a general neglect, emotional neglect being the most frequent, followed by economic neglect. On the other hand, the participants presented levels of mild depression and moderate anxiety. Likewise, the existence of a perfect negative correlation between depression with physical and economic abandonment was evidenced, on the other hand, the levels of anxiety presented a perfect negative correlation with physical and emotional abandonment |
